Listen, I'm the girl who always loved to juggle a million responsibilities (it’s the Capricorn in me). But growing up on a farm, slow moments with loved ones was vital. Memories like family dinners and backgammon at the table are cherished.
But I would be lying if I said I haven't also struggled searching for that healthy work/life balance. I've looked back on a week, a month, even a year, and wondered how it went by so quickly... and how I missed so much.

I was raised on a farm that’s been in the family since the The Homestead Act of 1862 in rural Kansas. Life was about family, community, and discipline. Harvest season was “all hands on deck” and the whole family was recruited to drive grain carts, empty the grain truck at the co-op, and deliver sack lunches.
Being a farmer is tough work. My grandma always warned: “There’s easier ways to make a living.”
Despite being a small-town girl, I was always dreaming about getting out into the great, big world. I finished my college degree and started working in healthcare, but it didn’t take long before I transferred my skills online. This led to the launch of my online business management services in 2020, dozens of businesses served, and helping clients achieve over $1M in sales through email alone.
Turns out, there definitely are easier ways to make a living.
